October - December 2001

Needling & propping, other temporary works, underpinning and more demolition to 71 Merrion Square for Pierse Building Services. Again this work could only be accessed through the building from Merrion Square.

 

September 2001

Removal of asbestos elements and demolition of buildings at Peamount Hospital, Newcastle, Co. Dublin. This work had to be completed safely while the hospital remained open with patients and visitors coming and going as usual.

 

September - October 2001

Selected temporary works and remedial structural repairs to an industrial unit in the Dunlop Centre, Dublin 2.

 

June - October 2001

Selective demolition and enabling works, including needling and propping, to a building on Sorrento Terrace in Dalkey for Pierse Building Services.

 

August - September 2001

Demolition of premises at North Brunswick Street, Dublin 1, and subsequent removal of debris including the safe emptying, grubbing up, and removal of an underground fuel storage tank.

 

June - August 2001

Demolition of buildings to the rear of 71 Merrion Square, Dublin 2, carried out with no rear access. Breaking of and removal of basement floor slab, excavation for drainage. All of the work on this project had to be carried out by hand and 1.5t mini excavator with all resulting debris removed from the building without the use of rear access, or direct access to the front of the building.

 

May - August 2001

Temporary works to the rear of two Georgian buildings on Clare Street, Dublin 2. These buildings are owned by the National Gallery of Ireland and are part of the new gallery currently under construction. This work consisted of carrying the total load of two bows to the rear of the buildings, remove cast iron columns, and leave ready for the building of new brick piers to restore the Georgian rear facades.

 

February - April 2001

Breaking and excavation to the lower ground floor of number 6 Raglan Road, along with selected design and erection of temporary works for new openings building is the new residence of Mr. Denis O' Brien.

 

December 2000 - April 2001

Needling and propping to five walls in number 5 College Street. This is a listed building within the new 'WestInn' Hotel development on Westmoreland Street. The propping allowed the installation of 'picture frame' permanent steel work (by us) to provide vehicular access to the new underground carpark. Also included in this project were excavations within the basement to allow the construction of the new bar and toilet areas.
