the vacant possession of the buildings.

of the old Forum Cinema at Glasthule, Dun Laoghaire.
This work was carried for the developer and involved
the demolition of a building facing directly onto the
main street in Glasthule Village with occupied buildings
around the perimeter.

The
clearing out and filling of voids to the front of Castle
Billiards, Drimnagh. These voids were left open following
the removal of underground fuel storage tanks. They
had filled with water and had various pieces of debris
thrown into them. We pumped them out, cleared the debris
and filled them with compacted hardcore leaving a previously
dangerous site safe.

Demolition
of an extension to a building in Monkstown Cresent,
County Dublin, for Pierse Building Services. This work
included the propping of the rear wall and subsequent
removal of structural elements to allow for remodelling
of the building. Excavation to the rear of the house
was done to allow for the construction of a new room
at lower ground level. All soil and debris had to be
removed through a rear lane before being loaded onto
trucks.

The
demolition of the 'Link Building' at Trinity hall, Dartry,
Dublin 6, for Michael McNamara & Co. The building
to be demolished was a two storey student dormitory
building connected to two listed Georgian buildings,
one at each end. As well as the listed buildings there
were mature trees on the site listed for preservation
and all of the demolition was completed successfully.

demolition of an extension to the rear of 33 Leeson
Street, Dublin 4, for P Elliott & Co. This work
was hampered by the lack of access and the demolition
had to be undertaken by hand with all debris taken out
from the site through a back lane to be loaded onto
lorries at Leeson Park.

demolition at the Dublin Corporation Car Park at Drury
Street Dublin 2 for Tolmac Construction. This work included
the design and installation of a temporary works system
that allowed structural elements of the building to
be removed while allowing both the construction of a
new stairwell and the continued use of the car park.

the design and erection of temporary propping to an
occupied dwelling at No. 2 Hammond Lane.

Grace Park Road, Drumcondra.

| Demolition,
temporary works, enabling works, bulk excavation and architectural
salvage at St. Mary's Church, Mary Street, Dublin 1 for
PJ Walls Ltd. As this is a listed building all salvage
had to be carried out under the supervision of a conservationist
with all materials removed to a nominated store. The bulk
excavation element was carried out in a very busy part
of town with considerable pedestrian traffic and increased
congestion due to the nature of the shopping area around
the site. This excavation was carried out in stages to
allow for the new construction. |
