	Safety Policy Environmental Policy Safety Policy
	It is the policy of Demolition Master to ensure:

	Safe means of access and egress. Safe plant, equipment and machinery. Safe systems of work i.e. the way work is carried out. Provision of appropriate information, instruction, training and supervision. Provision of suitable protective clothing and equipment where hazards cannot be completely eliminated. Preparation and revision of emergency plans. Prevention of risk to health from any article or substance (including plant, machinery and equipment). Provision and maintenance of welfare facilities. Provision, where necessary, of a competent person to advise and assist in securing the safety, health and welfare of employees.
	General Duties of Demolition Master Ltd.

	Demolition Master will carry out its duties in strict accordance with all statutory requirements, and in particular will: Provide all appropriate information to employees as necessitated by the work in hand. Ensure consultation with employees or their safety representative in relation to Health and Safety matters in accordance with the Regulations. Provide any or all personal protective equipment as required where a hazard cannot be eliminated. Prepare a Hazard Identification Report and a Risk Assessment and make sure that all employees are aware of these hazards, their resulting risks and the required control measures. Eliminate hazards wherever possible but due to the nature of the work i.e. demolition, this is not always possible and because of this there will always be a competent supervisor on the site at all times who will be responsible for making sure that all hazards are identified, that all employees are aware of them and that all control measures are in place if the hazard cannot be eliminated. This supervisor has the authority to remove from the site any employee that does not co-operate with this safety policy.
	It is the duty of every employee to:

	Comply with the Regulations and co-operate in carrying out these Regulations. Be responsible for their own safety, and for the safety of others through their actions or omissions. Accept direction from site management, and other more experienced co-workers in the matter of safety, health and welfare. Any employee who does not accept direction will be asked to leave the site. Be vigilant for defects in plant or equipment and if that person discovers any defect in plant or equipment to which the Regulations apply, and which might endanger safety, health and welfare, to report such defect without unreasonable delay to Demolition Master. Make proper use of any safety helmet, harness or any other personal protective equipment provided for that persons health and safety. Make correct use of tools, machinery, apparatus, dangerous substances, transport equipment and other means of production, and in cases where an employee is provided with personal protective equipment to: - make full and proper use of such equipment - use such equipment in accordance with the instructions given - take all reasonable steps to ensure that equipment is returned to storage after use. Employees must be free from the effects of alcohol, drugs or any other chemical or hallucinatory substance at all times and if found to be intoxicated by any of the above will be asked to cease work immediately and leave the site. If an employee is in any doubt about compliance with Regulations they must stop work immediately and seek guidance from management.
	Note:

	This safety statement is a general statement of the safety policy of this company and does not relate specifically to this particular project. Every project will have a hazard identification and risk assessment report completed. This report will be incorporated into the company safety statement to form a site specific safety statement. All personnel are required to read and understand this safety statement before commencing work on site. There will be a written record of compliance with this requirement kept with the site copy of the safety statement at all times for inspection. Following the issue of the site specific safety statement this preliminary statement will be superceded and the new statement will form the 'live' document. As any hazards are identified that are not already in the statement the will be added, and this fact will be communicated to all site personnel. It is a probability that all tasks on this project will require a method statement and these method statements will outline the particular hazards associated with the task, as well as the way the work should be carried out.this is intended as a reminder only of the hazards as the details of the hazards, their risks and their controls, will be in the site specific safety statement. It is therefore important that all method statements are read in conjunction with the site specific safety statement.
